Week 6

We noticed rendering glitches likely caused by low subdivisions or material settings, such as incorrect displacement or low texture resolution. Since the subdivision is currently set to 1, I will increase it and adjust material settings this week, running tests to find the best solution.
Ben (Ben Jones) worked on the color grading, and I see some noise becoming more noticeable, possibly due to the displacement on the cloth texture. I will be looking into this as well.
I increased the subdivision to 2 and did a quick render test from frame 110 to 140. The artifact issue seems to be resolved. I’ll run another render test on a different frame range to confirm.
Feedback from Harbor Picture Mentor:
1. Shot 1/5 feels cooler and darker
2. The artifacts on shot 1 needs to be fixed
3. Shot 2 curtains should feel like fabric of shot 1
4. Have plan to have some elements when shoot
5. 1-2 takes with bluescreen if real element move pass before transition
I did some changes of the lighting and will send to Ben to see if the shot will feel warmer and lighter.

The other settings are the same than last one, except I change the intensity to 2 in arealight 1

I did second render test, frame from 168 -198, and that stepping artifact is gone so it's being fixed.

I found there were still some small artifacts on the edge, and then I figure out it comes from the UVs. I plug UV project node before Vellum Solver and fix this issue.
Here's render version without color correction.

We also did our test load shoot on Friday, February 14, 2025, on the stage. We tested the lights, camera, standing positions, and the light intensity transition as the environment changed. Everything went well, and I’m so excited for our final shoot!
This is our vis for this week, everyone work hard on it and thanks to my teammates!
